Curriculum

At Montessori Hub, children have access to diverse educational materials to prepare them for academic readiness. Our scientifically tested and empirically validated lessons are organized into classes in the following areas:

Practical Life

+
+
Practical life materials are the foundation of Montessori education. They are designed to develop coordination, concentration, independence, and a sense of order. The primary focus is on refining the control of both the nervous and muscular systems. Children engage in real and purposeful tasks, such as learning to cook, clean, sew, launder, iron, garden, and much more. Practical life exercises are aimed at fostering independence and confidence.

Sensorial Work

+
+
Engaging with sensory materials encourages children to learn through their senses. In this context, kids participate in tasks like classifying, comparing, organizing, and structuring. Sensory materials play a significant role in refining all five of a child's senses and deepening their comprehension of nine object qualities: size, shape, color, texture, taste, smell, sound, temperature, and weight. These materials also lay the groundwork for mathematical concepts.

Math

+
+
The concept of the "mathematical mind" holds a significant place in Montessori philosophy. Our materials are tactile, three-dimensional, and engage multiple senses, helping kids to grasp mathematical concepts more quickly. Such activities also help a child recognize the significance of logical and rational thinking. As a result, our students are not only proficient in counting decimals but also in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of numbers up to a thousand by the age of five. According to contemporary researchers, Montessori math materials promote strong neural and cognitive connections in the human brain.

Language

+
+
We offer a language-rich environment for young children. Children engage in thematic discussions on a daily basis, and we encourage them to communicate with each other and educators at any time. Language materials that we use play a crucial role in connection between spoken and written communication. Children utilize materials like Sandpaper Letters, Movable Alphabet, Object Matching, writing tools, and interactive books for both individual and group reading experiences. This interactive process quickly and naturally teaches children sounds, letters, reading, and writing.

Science and Cultural Studies

+
+
The Montessori Science and Cultural curriculum provides a holistic learning with the goal of fostering curious and well-rounded individuals. Children engage in "cosmic education" that covers subjects like geography, botany, zoology, science, history, cultural studies, music, and art. They become familiar with and use materials such as Montessori World Maps, Multisensory Globes, Botany Cabinet, Water forms, and more. Through the study of the universe, the Earth, continents, countries, cities, various animals, and plants, children become well rounded global citizens at a very young age.

Art and Music

+
+
Art and music classes help develop a child's artistic sense and support the creative mind necessary for the development as a whole child. In our classrooms, children experiment with a variety of art materials, explore different artistic techniques, and become acquainted with renowned artists. Creative activities are integrated into almost every aspect of their life in the preschool! Music complements this inspiring environment, fostering the children's understanding of harmony and composition. They listen to, play, and study music in lively interactive sessions that captivate them with spontaneity and joy.

Health and Wellness

+
+
Children have the need to move around a lot, so Montessori classrooms offer numerous opportunities that incorporate movements throughout the school day. For example, in Practical Life lessons, music sessions, and outdoor activities. We also place an emphasis on physical activities like fitness, Capoeira, and walks in nature, yet children also have a chance to engage in more peaceful forms of movement, such as yoga. Additionally, during circle time, we frequently talk about healthy eating, staying hydrated, and how these practices positively affect physical and mental health.

Peace Education

+
+
Our goal is to promote peaceful communication at every level and assist children in discovering their role within larger communities. We encourage them to make constructive contributions through empathy and creative problem-solving. In a nurturing environment free from comparisons, judgments, or punishments, children are encouraged to learn from their mistakes, while being supported and respected by teachers. We also incorporate environmental education and curriculum for conflict resolution and stress relief into the learning process, including techniques like meditation and mindfulness.

English Language

+
+
Our language classes are organized to create a bilingual environment in which children and teachers communicate using spoken language. Kids quickly develop an extensive vocabulary and start to sing, read, and write in a foreign language. They also consistently interact with children from different backgrounds as our group is a diverse mix of kids. The opportunity to grow and connect within an international community offers a truly unique socialization experience. Additionally, children become familiar with other languages and cultures from different countries.

The City is Our Classroom!

+
+
As residents of a vibrant capital, we take full advantage of the rich opportunities that surround us every day and actively engage in the city's daily life! Children expand their world outside the classroom by traveling to museums, parks, cultural centers, and other places, which is one of the highlights of our curriculum. Whether going to a fitness studio to learn what it takes to be a trainer or visiting a dental clinic to get a glimpse of the life of a doctor, kids gain valuable skills through real-life experiences.
